Introduction

The madness for trekking as an adventure activity is growing steadily in recent times and so are the number of trekking destinations. Tadiandamol Trekking allows a person to spend some time in the lap of mother nature and relax from this busy life full of stress and anxiety.

Today I am going to tell you about one of the secret and pretty less known but amazing trekking destination i.e. Tadiandamol trek.

About:

The third-highest peak in Karnataka is Tadiandamol, which is a well-liked South Indian trekking destination. Within the renowned Shola forest of Karnataka, Tadiandamol rises to a height of 1780 metres. I chose to climb Tadiandamol on my second trip to Coorg, and it was yet another thrilling trekking adventure.

I visited Coorg in January 2019 and wrote about its tourism attractions. Well, rather than returning to the same locations repeatedly, I like to discover new areas of a place when I visit it again. I knew when I was planning the schedule that this time the focus had to be on unusual locations.

From Nishani Motte & Mandalpatti to Tadiandamol, there are a tonne of possibilities for hiking close to Coorg.

How to reach  the trekking basepoint:

From the major Karnataka cities of Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, and others, there are a number of  buses that travel to Coorg. The Tadiandamol Trek’s starting point is 35 kilometres from the bus stop, which is located in Madikeri’s major town. You must either hire a private cab because there is no public transportation to the base point. There are no airports or train stations in Coorg. The closest railway  stations are in Mysore and Mangalore, both 117 and 135 kilometres away. The two closest airports, both 144 KM and 132 KM away, are likewise in the same cities. Once more, from the aforementioned cities, you must take a taxi or a bus to get to Coorg.

Best place for staying before trekking:

The starting site for the Tadiandamol Trek is at Nalknad Palace, which is 35 kilometres from Madikeri Bus Stand. Since there is no public transportation to the Nalknad Palace and you must take a taxi  to get there if you are only going for the trip, I would suggest staying in Madikeri. Finding one will be simpler in the main town than anywhere else. However, if you have plans to travel to other places too then  you may want to think about staying in other places.

Best time for trekking:

Tadiandamol is best scaled between October and February. The monsoon season ends after September, so there will be greenery everywhere. Please refrain from visiting during the monsoon, which makes trekking a bit extreme  in this area.

Every important stuff :

  • The trek’s total distance, to and from the base at Nalknad Palace, is 12 KM. Depending on your pace, you may do the entire route in 6-7 hours. Anytime between 8:30 and 9:30 in the morning is a good time to start.
  • You have to return by 3 pm after entering the area of the forest as the probability of wild animals attacking increases during the night since this place (Shola forest)has a proportional amount of wild animals. Start your walk early in order to arrive on time.

About the trek:

Three kilometres from the base point, there is a checkpoint in a forested area. Here you can get information about the route of the trek so you don’t need to worry much about losing the way.  You will finally discover that there were no possible turns for you to have missed, and the trail is clearly marked, which will give you confidence while trekking.

Also Kedarkantha trek from Delhi, its amazing too.

Experience at the peak:

The Tadiandamol Hill and its surroundings will be ready to welcome you after traversing this terrain and are closer to the peak. You will soon be standing on the mountain, where a sign reading “Tadiandamol Peak- 0 KM” is posted. Additionally, I can guarantee that viewing the hoarding will make you feel nostalgic.

Conclusion:

I won’t pretend the walk was simple; it takes a lot of endurance and patience. But the sights were worth all the suffering and suffering through. On the peak, you can take pictures or simply take in the breathtaking scenery. You will not find many hikers during the morning time so start your journey at the earliest to an advantage of the calmness of the peak when you are alone.

INTRODUCTION:-

Kashmir is a place of natural waterfalls and lakes. God has given it hundreds of these water bodies across its length and width. The ancestors of our ancestors, thousands of years ago, must have traversed numerous valleys and mountain passes to see these wonders of nature. A lake is referred to as sar as well as bal when it is in Kashmiri. There are numerous Lakes in Kashmir and, of course, there are the huge lake of Kashmir!

These are extremely high altitude lakes that are located at an elevation of 12000 feet within the Himalayas. The Kashmir Great Lakes (KGL) trek is without doubt the most gorgeous trek in India.Somebody described it as an 3D IMAX film that was viewed live! It’s also a challenge! It is a climb up rocky mountains, with endless glaciers which transform into swift rivers as you travel through vast green meadows with sheep are grazing in peace and colorful wildflowers were scattered throughout the route.

The icing on the cake is 10 of the numerous emerald-turquoise emerald al lakes, five distinct valleys, and three very high passes that you are able to see.The whole trek is an enormous canvas that you can see painted in a variety of shades and colors. shades. The experience is in no way less than amazing!

About the Trek:

The most extreme treks to high altitudes in Kashmir can be undertaken only during the brief period between July and September. For the remainder of the year, these lakes are frozen and the mountains are covered in snow. You must have strong lungs, strong knees, and a strong mental focus to complete this journey. However, ultimately, it’s your willpower and determination that can make you successful.

Age is also matters. Also there is a chance that you could be the tiniest and most fittest of the group, but still not be able to finish the hike if AMS attacked.Once you are in an area that is the highest altitude (above 10000 feet),acute mountain sickness could affect anyone, anytime.AMS can be avoided with the treatment with Diamox. KGL is typically categorized as a moderately tough trek

Weather can turn a disaster anytime, with snow, heavy rain or heavy hail and each day is postcard perfect, with some mountains and lakes. What is what makes the lakes more stunning are the glaciers that supply the lakes. White pieces are frequently visible in the water’s surface. Lake. All the lakes are tucked away beneath high mountains that are surrounded by miles of meadows of green and a variety of vibrant wildflowers floating throughout the air.

DAY ZERO –

Srinagar to Shutkadi: The base camp was situated at Shutkadi close to Sonmarg. We formed a small group of 20. We traveled by cab from Srinagar to the base camp, which took us around 2.5 hours. The last one km of the campsite had to be trekked with a full backpack.Thereafter, one can choose to take off the backpack and carry only the daypack each day.The campsite was on top of a height,

In a secluded area, surrounded by tufts of deodar and mountains with a view of the gorgeous river Sindh, the Thajwas Glacier peak is visible out ahead. You may spot a strange structure, a dhoka or a hut of an Gurjar Bakarwal beneath those trees. The the evening was spent relaxing as we strolled down the river, and generally made friends over tea.All the paperwork and physical fitness assessments were completed, and dinner was served. we went to bed early since we had to get up early in the morning the next day.

Day 1. SHUTKADI IN NICHNAI SHEKDUR:–

At the briefing in the morning, we were told that this was the toughest of all days since there were many miles of walking, and on all days that we were there, the elevation on this day was greater than 3000 feet. In general, it is not advised to climb over 1000ft within 24 hours, but in this case, an exception is required, as it is only possible to camp in the same area. The day began with a couple of hours of a steep climb to the meadow that is flat, known as Table Top.From there, you can enjoy the whole Sonmarg valley, which is surrounded by the formidable Thajwas. Then we continued through the meadows that are beautiful and the mountains of snow that are Shekdur. There were a few steps into an amazing silver birch forest.

Day 2. NICHNAI to VISHANSAR LAKE 2nd day: NICHNAI TO VISHANSAR LAKE

We climbed moderately for a short time prior to the strenuous climb up to Nichnai Pass. It is an expansive tunnel, with several snow-capped peaks. The climb to the pass isn’t difficult but it takes quite a long time that makes it quite a challenge.

Day 3 : Krishnasar Lake

Even though Krishnasar Lake is only one km from Vishansar, it is possible to visit it the following day after a short upward climb of around 45 minutes as it’s situated at an altitude of 500 feet. Krishnasar is a vast deep blue lake, which lies below Krishnasar Peak. The two lakes can’t be observed together at this time. There is a large meadow spread across the right side. A ridge line is soaring ahead. We needed to walk through. The hike begins slowly and provides a breathtaking views of Krishnasar.

Day 4. GADSAR TO SATAR:-

Satsar refers to Seven (Saturn) lakes (Sir).Although the lakes are scattered across the same region, it’s difficult to take all of them in one day.The landscapes around Satsar are neat, with beautiful streams flowing lazily. The route leading to Gadsar was originally narrow strip. The steep slope was slow when traversing an Kasturkoth pass.

About Kudremukh

Kudremukh is located in Chikkamagaluru Karnataka with the name is kept because of its structure at the side of the mountain when seen from a certain view resembling a horse’s face. And hence the name was given ” Kudremukh “.You can also visit triund trek.

How to reach the Kudremukh trek starting point

So to reach there first you have to leave for Kalasa village from where Kudremukh entrance point is 10 km. And then from the entrance point to Mullodi, a village which is again 15 km from Kalasa. Reaching Mullodi village on your own is not quite easy so you have to hire a jeep from the entrance point. In Mullodi village you have to reach the forest office where after taking permission you can start your trek to Kudremukh peak. And reaching Kalsa village is also quite easy as public transport is easily available from nearby towns, cities, or Bangalore.

The whole three sections of completion of the trek below

From forest office to Ontimara 2

Trekking distance – 5km

Trekking duration- 2 hours

  • After an hour and a half, you will reach Ontimara – 2

Ontimara -2 to the final stretch

  • As you reach Ontimara path follows from a gentle sloppy area to a steep ascent. When you look around and wherever far your eyes reach, it would be rolling green hills.
  • During the monsoon, the ground might be a little wet and slippery. For that, you must carry a trekking pole.
  • And after a few minutes of moving ahead, you can locate the peak just in front of your eyes.

From the final stretch to the peak

  • And the final stretch section is all about watching the peak of Kudremukh from the back and following the trail that leads to the peak
  • There will be a boarding sign once you are just a few minutes away from the peak.

  • And if you started trekking at 8:00 am you may reach the peak at noon. And make sure to start descending by 2:00 pm.

TAT should be at 2 pm

It will take 3 hours to descend and you should not spend much time there. Upon returning, the forest section might be a little slippery so make sure to use the trekking pole.
