We are living in a digital world. Everyone wants to grow his business on Instagram and other social media channels. Follow these tips and tricks to Boost your business on Instagram and other social media platforms like Instagram.
Aim for the Explore page:
The Explore page appears when you click the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Instagram app. According to Instagram itself, it’s where “you’ll find photos and videos you might like from accounts you haven’t yet subscribed to.”
The Explore tab covers Instagram posts, stories, and IGTV. A grid of content selected by Instagram’s algorithm is first presented to users. They then have the option of choosing the specific topics they want to learn more about using the topic channels at the top of the screen.
Half of Instagram users visit the Explore tab every month. This is a huge opportunity for brands to grow their audience.
Of course, it is not easy to appear on this Explorer tab. Luckily, we have devoted a whole article to this subject.
You can also pay to access the Explore feed by selecting Explore as an advertising option.

Indicate your location:
Whenever location matters to your post or Story, geotag it. This is another easy way to get your content discovered by Instagrammers.
If your business has a physical location, be sure to geotag it and encourage your customers to do the same. Users can then click on that location to see all the photos and Stories posted from your store, restaurant, or office. This can boost the visibility of your brand (and your Instagram account).
For example, here is the result of a search for Van Wonderen Stroopwafels in Amsterdam:

If you post while attending a conference or event, you can easily connect with other attendees by adding your location. This will give your account very high visibility to a targeted group of potential new subscribers. This is a great way to expamd your business on Instagram.
Tag relevant users:
You can tag Instagram users in your photos with @- in your caption or using the dedicated tagging feature built into the post. In either case, the affected user receives a notification when he/she is tagged.

Tagging a user encourages them to interact with the post and share it with their community. Your post will also appear in the Tagged tab of your Instagram profile.
You can also tag the users concerned in your Instagram stories. They can then share it in their own story with a simple touch. By doing this, anyone viewing their story will see your username and can click on a link to your account.
By this you can enhance your business on Instagram.

You may have noticed that we said you should only tag relevant users. Tagging someone just to get their attention is not the idea of the century. Tag only people who appear in your photo or who are relevant to the content of your post.
You can potentially tag, among other things:
Clients
Your suppliers
other companies
Colleagues or employees
Someone who taught you a skill or told you about something you mention in the post
Anyone who appears in the photo
Invite others to tag you:
Another way to expose your Instagram account to a new audience is to ask other users to tag you. When they do, their audience sees your handle and can click on it if they want to know more.
Your bio is a great place to ask others to tag you on Instagram.
For example, the Visit the USA page asks Instagrammers to tag her for a chance to feature on her account.

Follow accounts that are related to your business:
You should only tag users directly related to your content in your posts. On the other hand, nothing prevents you from following whoever you want. And, when you follow a user on Instagram, chances are they’ll come to your feed.
If they have engaging content that matches their interests, they’ll be much more likely to reciprocate.
Social listening is a great way to find chats that are relevant to your brand. From there, you can easily identify influential users (commonly referred to as influencers or thought leaders ) that would be a good idea to follow. A good plan would be to also follow the followers of these influencers.
Instagram’s Suggestions for You section is also a great tool for finding relevant accounts to follow. It appears in your News Feed between posts or on the right side of the screen on a computer.
You can also access the social network’s suggestions by going to your profile. Then click on the three lines in the upper right corner, then on Discover people. There you will also find a list of popular Instagram accounts selected for you by the algorithm.
But be careful not to follow too many accounts in too little time. It’s important to maintain a healthy follower ratio to maintain your credibility. Your follower ratio is the number of people following you compared to the number of accounts you follow.
And don’t get into this little game of following users just to get their attention, then unfollow them as soon as they follow you back. It’s not good for your reputation on Instagram because it’s not very honest.
Interact with existing communities:
Like any other social media network, the power of Instagram comes from the communities that drive it. So these are the communities you want to interact with.
Join discussions by liking, leaving comments, and sharing content from other credible users in your community. Avoid generic comments (like “Great post!”)
This will allow you to grab the attention of users (and potential new subscribers) in two ways:
They’ll get notifications when you like their posts and leave a comment, and might check your profile back.
Other people will see your comments and are likely to take a look at your profile if they find them insightful or intriguing.
