Make sure that the printer’s print queue is checked App

When you print, the printer’s Print Queue application is displayed in the Dock, with a name to reflect the name of the printer. (If you don’t see it, open the System Preferences > Printers and Scanners, choose the printer you wish to use and then click to open the Print Queue.)
Within the Print Queue application, check what is happening with the printer as well as your print jobs.
